Being a member of TABC is fun! Choristers develop a sense of camaraderie with other boys the same age and form new and lasting friendships while learning the essentials of music. Participation in the Chorus includes regular rehearsals, a challenging fancy trick rodeo roping program, and the excitement of our annual summer music camp. The Chorus offers many unique performance opportunities for each of its levels.
We invite boys ages 6 and up to enroll in the world-renowned Tucson Arizona Boys Chorus. At our central location, we offer four age and ability based choirs including our premier choir, the Touring Chorus. TABC has also added three neighborhood choirs in Vail, Sahuarita and Oro Valley so that boys in all parts of Tucson can get a taste of what it means to be a part of the Boys Chorus. We also offer a Young Men’s Ensemble for high school age vocalists. For 80 years, thousands of boys have joined TABC and, as a result, their lives have been greatly enriched.
During the first week of rehearsals boys are asked to display the ability to match pitch and follow a simple melody. There is no need to prepare any materials and a music background, while helpful, is not a pre-requisite.
